I want to start a series on here talking about my personal favorites. Everyone has specific Disney things that they love and it would make me so happy to share mine with all of you. Today I am starting with my favorite parade, the Festival of Fantasy parade at the Magic Kingdom. I love this parade so much that sometimes, if I am having a rough day, I will watch videos of it on YouTube.

To me, this parade is just the epitome of Disney magic and happiness. I love the floats and it is amazing to be able to see all of the characters in one place in such beautiful theming.

For those who are not familiar with it, the Festival of Fantasy parade is an afternoon parade that takes place in the Magic Kingdom every day. If memory serves correctly, it is usually at 3pm. I highly recommend this parade, especially if there are kids in your group that want to see characters. Although you don't get photos with them, it will let them see pretty much any character they could dream of all in one place.

This parade in particular is amazing for any little one, or adult, that loves princesses. I know that even at 19, seeing all of the Princesses in one place makes me smile.

Another aspect of this parade that can be loved by adults as well as children are the amazing floats. Every single one is beautiful and incredibly detailed. My personal favorite is the dragon. Every time I see it, it completely blows me away.

In my experience, the best place to see the parade without a huge, long wait, is in Frontierland. I have found that standing on the raised porch in front of the shops gives me a good view. It also puts me just a little bit back so I never feel like I am standing in front of small children and blocking their only chance of seeing Mickey Mouse. Problems that come with being a 6 foot tall photographer, I guess.

Overall I highly recommend this parade to anyone at Disney. There is something to be enjoyed for everyone. It is a nice 20 minute break from walking around or standing in line for a ride and you won't be sorry that you took the time out for it. I would suggest planning on seeing it the first day you are at the Magic Kingdom. Florida weather typically means lots of late afternoon rain. This way, if you unfortunately get rained out your first day, it won't mean you don't have any other chances to see it.

I would love to hear from you guys, what is your favorite parade at Disney? How do you feel about the Festival of Fantasy parade? Let me know in the comments!
